We will have a cross-section of expert users from across North America to staff the booth, with a variety of experiences and styles. You'll have plenty of access to get your questions answered. The D-Star Users booth will again be across the aisle (next to Heil). We'll also be showing several of the applications and interfaces that have been created for D-STAR. There are some impressively powerful tools available, and we'll have folks available to discuss them. Icom event The "Friday Night Event" will be at the Drury Inn, 6616 Miller Lane, from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM. We'll have handouts at the booths on Friday with directions to the hotel. If you're interested in D-STAR, you won't want to miss the Friday Night Event this year. As always, we expect the room to fill up. Don't be late! Dayton now has a D-Star repeater W8BI on 147.105 +0.600. The Hamilton, OH W8RNL D-Star system is on 145.16 +0.600 and 442.625 +5.00. For more information visit The D-Star Info Page 900 MHz Repeater(January 13, 2009 from KC8ZUM)A temporary repeater is on the air on 900 Mhz. It is the W8ESS repeater on 927.5500 TX - 902.5500 RX - 110.9PL The repeater is located near downtown and is running 25W on a 3dBd gain antenna - approximately 50W ERP. The repeater is still in test mode and the receiver is not as sensitive as it should be yet. The final repeater will be running 150W into a 10dBd gain antenna - approximately 1300W ERP. It will have a better receiver and a preamp as well. We hope to have the final repeater in place and online before Dayton. If you are interested in 900 MHz and would like to get a radio please contact me for a list of compatible radios. Used 900 radios are available very reasonably online and at hamfests. New Cincinnati RepeatersJune 10, 2008:Dan, KC8ZUM, tells us that two new 900 MHz repeaters are going up in the Cincinnati area. If you wish to purchase a 900 MHz radio, contact Dan via e-mail at KC8ZUM@arrl.net QRMIf you hear any QRM on the input frequency, then please call Tom on his cell phone@ 513-325-4499. Do not announce it on the air, and do not call unless you hear something on the input.
